David Bowie “Young Americans” 1975. The single “Fame” was #1 on the charts this week in 1975. It spent 2 weeks in that position, from September 14-20th, his first #1 in the US. Definitely one of my favorite Bowie tracks of all time, and of course I’m even more partial to Duran Duran’s cover, the b-side to “Careless Memories” from 1981.
