Labels Unlimited The Second Record Collection

Labels Unlimited The Second Record Collection, 1979. UK punk compilation on Cherry Red Records showcasing small indie labels including Rough Trade, Dubious Records, Sofa Records and several more.
A brief overview of several of the tracks:
Audi “Big Time” – Brit power pop via the Ramones
Girl School “Take It All Away” – girlie Brit punk via 50′s rock-n-roll, vocals a bit Poly Styrene-ish from X-Ray Spex
Those Mighty Lumps “Iggy Pop’s Jacket” – very Cramps-esque
Spizz Oil “Cold City” – stark guitar with breaking glass accents for the rhythm section
The Shapes “Wot’s For Lunch Mum? [Not B***s Again!]” – the “b***s” refers to beans, so they’re all punk-cranky about getting beans to eat. Again.
Staa Marx “Pleasant Valley Sunday” – a not-really-punk, more New York Dolls, cover of the Monkees
AK Process “After All Love” – uses the tired punk technique of sampling a radio news report over vague dirgey noise, helicopter noise, etc.
Second Layer “Metal Sheet” – kinda Bauhaus/Love and Rockets goth, post-punk, bleep-bloops and whispers
Daily (maybe) pulls from the vault: 33-1/3, 45, 78, old, older, classic, new, good, bad. Subjective. Autobiographical. Occasionally putting a record up for sale.
