]]> Electric Frankenstein “Monster” 1997, 10″ EP. Au-go-go Records. Expect a lot of these guys and other Halloween-esque releases over the next week in the lead up to October 31st on Vinyl From the Vault.

The EP’s label says 33-1/3 rpm but this is a misprint (intentional?); it’s really at 45 rpm, which makes a lot more sense for this high energy garage-punk band. Monster includes a Misfits cover of “Queen Wasp” and it’s definitely the highlight of the EP, matching the breakneck speed and seething anger of the original.
