I Want Candy is a compilation album of Bo Diddley-beat inspired new wave pop songs that appeared on their first major label album, See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang Yeah! City All Over, Go Ape Crazy (including “Jungle Boy,” “Go Wild in the Country”), and new tracks produced by Kenny Laguna of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts: “Baby, Oh No,” “Cowboy” and of course, Bow Wow Wow’s enduring hit, “I Want Candy.” The single, a cover of the Strangeloves’ 1965 hit, went to #9 in the UK and #62 in the US.
