This week on March 17th marks the 40th anniversary of WMSE, Milwaukee’s local, independent radio station on the campus of MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering). 20 years ago today the Shepherd Express published my article about “Buzz’s Garage,” a 3-hour radio slot (still going today, now on Monday evenings) hosted by my friend, Mike “Buzz” Bereiter. He plays old and new punk and garage music, mostly from his own collection on vinyl. It’s a must-listen every week.
